Time to Sing and Time to Play

This album was a tribute to my students at Dalian American International School. It features just a fraction of the music I made with my students during my three years at the school. Many of the songs even feature their voices!

Let It Shine

My Spring 2021 concert was all about African and Black American music. Being in China, many of my students have never been exposed to these kinds of music, so I set out to help them engage with music from different African countries and the music of historical Black American musicians. It was a huge success!

What’s Your Winter?

Something that I have always been passionate about is teaching and programming concert music that best fits the needs, abilities, backgrounds, and interests of my students. This led to our winter 2020 concert titled “What’s Your Winter?” which was all about what winter looks like for each one of us. Each song, with the exception of Vivaldi’s Winter, was written specifically for my students performing in this concert. I enlisted the help of some amazing staff kids in the upper elementary grades to help with background vocals.

At The Piano

A more personal album, At the Piano is a compilation of some of my favorite contemporary hymns to play on the piano. I have grown up in the church and have spent many years accompanying choirs, worship bands, and congregations on the piano. These songs are near and dear to my heart, and are one of my ways to spread the joy and peace that hymns can bring to a listener.
